Scarborough Zoom Thursdays!

You are invited to a Zoom meeting!

Scarborough Congregations Zoom meetings take place each Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. EST.
You can take part using a computer, tablet, smartphone, or telephone.

Don’t worry if you haven’t done this before. You will be able to get help if necessary: please call Peter Williams at 905-424-5013 for support.

How do you take part?

By Computer, Tablet, or Smartphone:

Use the link:     www.cofcscarborough.org/zoom
If this is the first time using Zoom on your computer, tablet, or smartphone, you will be prompted to install the Zoom app. (Some computers may display a system/security warning; it is safe to disregard any such warning and  proceed with the installation).
Once the Zoom app is installed, or already installed, follow the instructions displayed on your screen. If you log into the meeting early, you will not be able to connect until the Host starts the meeting, and will likely see the following (or similar) screen:

This is an excellent opportunity to test your computer’s microphone and camera (video) so that you know that everything is working and ready for the meeting.
If your computer is a bit older and does not have a built-in microphone and/or camera you will need to add an external microphone (try headphones or ear buds with a built-in microphone) and/or web cam in order to speak or broadcast your video during the meeting.
If you do not have access to a microphone and/or camera on your older computer, you will still be able to connect to the meeting with your computer so that you can see everyone, and then use your phone and the toll free number below so that you can participate by voice as well.

By Telephone:

Yes, your regular home telephone or a “dumb” cell phone (one without video capabilities) can be used to participate in our Zoom meetings! You will be able to hear everyone and to speak and be heard yourself.
Call toll free:    1-647-374-4685     and enter Meeting ID:    231 258 733
